The Legend of Sah Nyashii
Our name is rooted in history. Sah Nyashi, the grandfather of our founder, was a legendary figure of the Jaba tribe in Southern Kaduna. Known as the "Great Hunter," his life was defined by the precision of the hunt and a deep mastery of the natural world.
Today, we carry his name as a badge of honor. To us, "Nyashii" represents the hunt for perfection. We don't just make shoes; we harvest a legacy of skill and transform it into contemporary art.
The Visionary: Meck Emmanuel
The bridge between our ancestral roots and the global market is our founder, Meck Emmanuel. A Chartered Accountant by profession and a visionary by heart, Meck saw a gap in the African story. While Nigeria has long been a leading exporter of raw hides to the world's most famous fashion houses, we rarely saw those materials return as finished luxury goods.
Through Taime Capital Partners Limited, Meck set out to change that. His mission is simple yet bold: to prove that the finest leather goods in the world don't have to come from Italy or Turkey—they are born right here in Nigeria.

Luxury is nothing without the artisan. The Nyashii Team is a collective of over 100 master cobblers, leather smiths, and designers across Nigeria's historic leather hubs—from the tanneries of Kano and Zaria to the bustling workshops of Lagos.
By blending traditional hand-stitching techniques with modern ergonomic design, our team ensures that every pair of Jumper shoes or bespoke bags meets a global standard of excellence. We are not just creating products; we are empowering a local value chain of incredible talent.
